White Wedding?

I'm probably old fashioned about this, but I usually think of the veil being the shearest part of the bride's trouseau. Doesn't this let the guests get to know the bride a little too well?

When I was a little girl, I would take Gramma's afghan and wrap it around my body, under my arm pits. I would then strut around and pretend to be a bride or beauty queen, depending on whatever my mood was. It looks like the designer of this wedding dress had the same sort of inspiration. And is she carrying one of Gramma's lemon meringue pies to substitute for a bouquet?
